If you thought you knew what worship looked like, Saturday afternoon may come as something of a surprise.

For one thing, the 5:30 Contemporary Service on Saturdays takes place in the Fellowship Hall instead of the sanctuary.

Another surprise will be its almost paperless, high-tech character.

Here our resident high-tech guru, programs the evenings events to be projected on the screen.  With the able assistance of other volunteers, worship happens without the need for printed bulletins or hymnals.  In this photo, Our Director of Music makes certain that all essential parts of the worship service have been correctly entered into the computer.
New music is always a part of the Saturday service.  With keyboard, drums, bass and guitar we learn some of the newest songs prepared for worship.  Watch the words on the screen and you'll know the tune in a few minutes.
It's casual, it's informal and it's fun.  Not to be forgotten, however, St. Luke's Contemporary Worship Service is also sacramental.  What does that mean?  It means that we never lose sight of God's many gifts to us all.  As we share Holy Communion each week, we remember that God has chosen us - each one of us - to be about the business of sharing God's love with the world.  It is truly something to celebrate.

Come worship with us some Saturday afternoon.  It may just set the tone for a wonderful week!  Everyone is welcome - always.
