St Luke Church began a Kindergarten class more than 50 years ago for congregational members. From that
single class grew a pre-school and extended care program. We currently enroll as
many as 135 students.
The school enrolls children from two years of age through Kindergarten. The school exists as a
ministry of the church's congregation and St Luke's reputation in the community is long standing
and well respected.

The school is licensed through the State of New Mexico's Department of Children, Youth and Families.
We are also accredited with the National Association for the Education of
Young Children (NAEYC).

The pre-school is considered one of the main ministries of the church and is supported by the
congregation in many ways ... from sharing classroom space with the church's Sunday school
program in both the Administration and the Education buildings, to custodial care, to financial
contributions for the school's scholarship fund, to church members who volunteer on the school's
governing committee and to the weekly help at worship times from the pastoral staff. The support from
this loving body of believers is always evident and without it the school could not exist.
