St. Luke Ministries and Programs

Youth Youth programs, for children of all ages, happen each month on the second Saturday evening - an inter-age "Activity Night."  Come join the fun and learning from 6:30-8:30 p.m., following the Saturday evening Contemporary Worship Service.  The mid-school and high school youth also meet on the first and third Sundays from 4:30-6:30 for supper, discussion and fellowship.

During the school year, Wednesday nights feature confirmation classes and fellowship from 7:00-8:45 p.m. in conjunction with Messiah Lutheran Church.  Confirmation classes include those in the 7th and 8th grades.

Music The Adult Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. to prepare special music. The choir sings regularly at the 10:15 worship service on Sundays.  Their schedule will resume after Labor Day. 
Small Group Ministry Small groups centered on Bible study, personal growth, book and film discussion, and other topics are regularly offered.

Fellowship
Luncheons
Fellowship Luncheons happen once each month on a Wednesday.  Plans are now being made for the luncheon schedule which resumes in September.  Everyone is invited.
Education Sunday School for all ages meets from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. during the school year.

Bible study for adults includes the Men’s Breakfast Bible Study on Tuesday mornings at 7:00 a.m., an Open Bible Study Group each Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m., and a Sunday morning class at 9:00 a.m.

The Adult Forum - which occurs during the Sunday School hour - features a variety of important topics, from Bible Study to issues of contemporary concern.  The Adult Forum meets in the Zuni Room of the Administration Building. 

A four-week preparation class for new members is scheduled three to four times each year.

Women of the ELCA Women of the ELCA support one another in their faith callings through a variety of events and interest groups. Groups include Lamplighters, an evening study and support group; Sew and Sow, a group that produces handwork projects for those in need in the church and community; and Bible Study, a group that studies lessons from Lutheran Women Today. WELCA expresses social concern by its support of agencies like Lutheran World Relief, Cuidando Los Niņos (childcare facility), Women in Transition, and the Las Vegas NM Medical Center.
Small Group
Ministries
Small Groups of all kinds are always being formed.  Recent groups have included a Study Group looking at the works of C. S. Lewis, a group studying books on Martin Luther, a study of the early centuries of the Christian Church, a Spanish language Study Group, a group focusing on personal spiritual writing.  Beginning soon will be a group called "Lifeline Ministries," offering a prayer chain, home communions, meals, as well as other support services for persons in need.
